Shuigeng Zhou is now a professor in School of Computer Science, Fudan University, Shanghai, China. He received his Bachelor degree of Electronic Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 1988, his Master degree of Electronic Engineering from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 1991, and his PhD of Computer Science from Fudan University in 2000. He served in Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology from 1991 to 1997, as an engineer and a senior engineer (since August 1995) respectively. He was a post-doctoral researcher in State Key Lab of Software Engineering, Wuhan University, from 2000 to 2002. His research interests include data management, data mining, and bioinformatics. He has published more than 200 papers in domestic international journals and conferences. he has involved in organizing a number of international conferences, including ADMA 2012 (PC Co-chair), FSKD 2007/2008  (PC Co-chair), DASFAA 2011 (Workshop Co-chair), WAIM 2010/APWeb 2011 / BIBM 2012 /KSEM 2006/2013 (Publicity Co-chair), SIGMOD 2007 (Registration Chair) and ER 2004 (Local  Chair). He also served in the program commttees of a series of international conferences, including SIGMOD demo, VLDB demo, ICDE, EDBT, PAKDD, DASFAA, SSTD, ER and PRICAI etc. Currently he is a member of IEEE CS and ACM SIGMOD.

Prof Shuigeng Zhou organized the special issue on Advances on E-Commerce Techniques in Big Data Era for IJSI (Vol.6, No.4) in 2012.
